Mike Shares What’s in Store this November

Mike Jason Executive Producer

With just over 100 days until we sail our first Big Easy Cruise, we have lots of exciting news to share. Since the last newsletter, we have added more artists including Cyril Neville formerly of The Meters and The Neville Brothers who will be performing with Leo Nocentelli of The Meters, Trixie Minx Burlesque, The Tin Men, Joe Krown and The Newbees, which puts us at 75+ planned performances by over 25 acts. We’ll enjoy the best of New Orleans inspired music from late mornings until well after midnight in any 1 of 6 venues onboard.

In addition, we have planned an action-packed first evening in New Orleans including a sail-in party with Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen performing, an exclusive Galactic performance at Tipitina’s, and a circa midnight Tedeschi Trucks Fireside Live show. We have also planned onboard presentations and artist interactive events that focus on the history and culture of New Orleans, the origins of the Crescent City sound, artist interviews, and special shows.

Since the food, the culture and the vibe of New Orleans are every bit as important to the cruise as the music, we can share some of our plans in those areas as well. Start packing for our theme nights which will include Black and Gold, Bayou Party, Mardi Gras, and a Fiesta Night. Plus, Chef Kevin Belton is currently sailing with our StarVista Team and the culinary staff of the Nieuw Amsterdam this week, sharing his recipes, planning out his menu additions, training the ship staff, and walking through how best to bring the flavors and foods of New Orleans to our guests.

A StarVista Live Cruise always delivers great music, artist and guest interactive events, but most of all, a fun time - which we'll be sure to deliver with the best of Big Easy artists and fans.
